Relatives Menschsein

Relatives Menschsein is a German Darkwave band, formed in the early 1990s. Their inspiring music, interspersed with thrilling lyrics can develop many different feelings to the listeners, that could be described in many different ways, but leading in the end in a majestic melancholy.  

Their very first song was Tempel, followed by Verflucht, Glaube and Der Clown. In August 1991 their first MC album was released, under the title Moritat on Danse Macabre, founded by the members of  Das Ich.  Their first concert was on January 4, 1992 in the Cat-Café Ulm. It was such a good concert that immediately afterward more numerous performances in Germany, Belgium and Switzerland followed.

Their second album Gefallene Engel, was released in July 1992 again on Danse Macabre. The album featured six tracks and was produced by Bruno Kramm.   Their next album Die Ewigkeit, was released in 1993 and featured two more tracks and guest Thar on guitar and was mixed again by Bruno Kramm. Horst Braun also mixed, produced and recorded the album.

 

Their fourth album Thanatos (a 2-CD), released in 2002, on Alice In..., collects the songs from Gefallene Engel and Die Ewigkeit and also features live versions and further unreleased tracks. 

They have never officially disbanded, but in 1999 was their last performance in which Wolf, as they had agreed, gave away his stage clothes. And then it was all over...
