Misantrophe

In 1990 a demo tape titled Dismail gets some great reviews. Behind this releash is Misantrophe; Avalist’s and Atrum’s duet from Germany.  Their music combines lot of strings,  piano, bass and drums, resulting compositions that affects the psyche  more intensively.

Their debut album Der Tod zerfraß die Kindlichkeit released in 1994 on Alice In… and it was like a little movie. The piano parts once again had a major and tragic role. Noticeable in this album was also the unusual lyrical formation and the extreme puns, something that accented the theatrical feeling of this album.

The next release came in 1995 under the title Der Schädel des Denkers, again on Alice In… . Here we find sixteen songs that lyrically follow the previous release and leads us in a poignant melancholy.

In 1998 Misantrophe will release their third album, a double cd, titled  Als das Denken den `Menschen erbrach (Alice In…) . This album combines previously unreleased demo tracks with new compositions. The old and the new material blend (both lyrically and musically) into a single unit with an excellent result.

This would be their last release. Both Atrum and Avalist will keep dealing with music projects till today, creating some very inspiring songs.

Relatives Menschsein

Relatives Menschsein is a German Darkwave band, formed in the early 1990s. Their inspiring music, interspersed with thrilling lyrics can develop many different feelings to the listeners, that could be described in many different ways, but leading in the end in a majestic melancholy.

Their very first song was Tempel, followed by Verflucht, Glaube and Der Clown. In August 1991 their first MC album was released, under the title Moritat on Danse Macabre, founded by the members of  Das Ich.  Their first concert was on January 4, 1992 in the Cat-Café Ulm. It was such a good concert that immediately afterward more numerous performances in Germany, Belgium and Switzerland followed.

Their second album Gefallene Engel, was released in July 1992 again on Danse Macabre. The album featured six tracks and was produced by Bruno Kramm.   Their next album Die Ewigkeit, was released in 1993 and featured two more tracks and guest Thar on guitar and was mixed again by Bruno Kramm. Horst Braun also mixed, produced and recorded the album.

Their fourth album Thanatos (a 2-CD), released in 2002, on Alice In..., collects the songs from Gefallene Engel and Die Ewigkeit and also features live versions and further unreleased tracks.

They have never officially disbanded, but in 1999 was their last performance in which Wolf, as they had agreed, gave away his stage clothes. And then it was all over...
